LT water polo junior named Player of the Year

First time one of LT's players has been honored with Boys' Water Polo Player of the Year.

Lyons Township High School junior and member of the third place state boys’ water polo team Victor Perez, of Brookfield, was selected by the coaches as the Illinois Player of the Year. This is the first time one of LT’s players has been voted the Player of the Year.

Varsity head coach Doug Eichstaedt, said, “Victor was the most dominant offensive player in the state. He led our team with 115 goals on the season. He also drew an incredible 77 ejections on the season. Multiple defenders were needed to stop him in front of the goal. He is also a very smart player and strong defender. He would often seek out the opposing team's best player to defend in close games.”
