LT Water Polo Player Chosen As Illinois Player Of The Year

This is the first time one of LT's players has been voted the Player of the Year.

LA GRANGE, IL — Lyons Township High School junior and member of the third place state boys’ water polo team Victor Perez, of Brookfield, was selected by the coaches as the Illinois Player of the Year. This is the first time one of LT’s players has been voted the Player of the Year, the school said.

Varsity head coach Doug Eichstaedt, said in a release, “Victor was the most dominant offensive player in the state. He led our team with 115 goals on the season. He also drew an incredible 77 ejections on the season."

He added that Perez is a smart player and a strong defender.

"He would often seek out the opposing team's best player to defend in close games," Eichstaedt said.
