LTHS Announces National Merit Finalists

Students will continue to compete for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be offered in the spring

Lyons Township High School is proud to announce that all 10 senior National Merit Semifinalists have advanced and been named Finalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship competition. These students will continue to compete for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be offered in the spring.

More than 1.5 million students nationwide entered the Merit Program as juniors by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. High scorers were designated as finalists by scoring in the top one-half of one percent among students taking the PSAT. In total, just over 16,000 academically talented seniors qualified nationwide. National Merit Scholarship winners of 2021 will be announced beginning in April.
