LA GRANGE, IL – A Lyons Township High School board member who has not answered questions about whether she plans to serve out her term showed up in person for a board meeting Monday – the first in a month.

Member Julie Swinehart has taken part in the last two meetings remotely. At Monday's meeting, Swinehart, who has a financial background, asked questions during a budget presentation.

Since February, Swinehart has not responded to Patch's inquiries about whether she plans to serve until her term ends in May 2025.

Some residents are speculating online that she plans to move. Her La Grange house recently went up for sale.

Last July, Swinehart was hired as the chief financial officer for the Boston-based Fenway Sports Group, according to the Sports Business Journal. Its holdings include the Boston Red Sox.

Swinehart's headshot remains on the school's website. Because she did not attend the board's reorganization meeting on May 8, she was not included in the group photo that appears online.

In Illinois, school board members are unpaid.
