Lyons Township High School will be adorned in red October 23-31 in honor of Red Ribbon Week, the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country, which serves as a vehicle for communities and individuals to take a stand and make a commitment to drug prevention and a personal commitment to live drug free lives.
LT is recognizing Red Ribbon Week in a variety of ways, including:
October 23 to October 31: daily announcements relating to Red Ribbon Week will be read over the PA system for students and staff.

October 23 to October 31: public service announcements will be played during lunch periods in the cafeterias to help educate students.
Wednesday, Oct 23 (South Campus) & Thursday, Oct. 24 (North Campus): Tables will be setup outside NC and SC lunchrooms asking students to “send a message” to stay drug free to enter into a raffle!

Wednesday, Oct 24: Annual WEAR RED day to support the idea of healthy choices by wearing red and encouraging students to participate.
Monday, Oct 28: Red Ribbons will be placed in teacher mailboxes to display in their classrooms.
Tuesday, Oct 29: The annual Red Ribbon Breakfast for associate schools, community members, and LT staff is an annual event with a presentation from Andy Duran, executive director of Linking Efforts Against Drugs (LEAD), a drug prevention organization which blends coalition and prevention work with youth leadership development.
Wednesday, Oct 30: students and faculty will be passing out Red Ribbon Week lollipops with this year’s theme: Send a Message. Stay Drug Free.
