LTHS Freshman Experience Day

LT ready to welcome more nearly 1,000 freshmen on Wednesday, August 14 at South Campus

Lyons Township High School plans to welcome the class of 2023 before the first official day of the 2019-2020 school year. Incoming freshman will gather for Freshman Experience Day at South Campus on Wednesday, August 14, to become familiar with South Campus, faculty and staff, and students.

The freshmen will have South Campus all to themselves. They will be divided into small groups all led by upperclassmen and supervised by adult staff members. The small groups will discuss LT traditions, along with what freshmen should expect the next four years of being an LT lion. Presentations from administrators are also scheduled, as well as team building activities, tours of South Campus and a complimentary pizza lunch in the main courtyard.

Freshman Experience Day is a great way for the incoming freshmen to get comfortable with a new school and with the idea of being a high school student at LT. This day is an LT tradition that makes the transition from middle school to high school a little bit easier.
