LTHS Mathletes take top spot at Invite
Lyons Township High School finished in first place at the Lemont Invitational last week
Congratulations to the Lyons Township High School Math Team on their first place finish at the Lemont Invitational last week. LT earned 1st place overall, with more than 20 teams competing. LT Mathletes will be competing at conference and regionals later this month.
LT’s winning teams include:
- Overall team: 1st place
- PreCalc Team: 2nd place
- Algebra 1 Team: 2nd place
- Algebra 2 Team: Tied for 3rd place
- Junior-Senior 8-person Team: 3rd place
- Frosh-Soph 8-person Team: 4th place
- Geometry Team: 4th place
“LT’s math coaches and students invest hundreds of hours researching and practicing various math problems and reviewing shortcuts to theorems. Their hard work has and will pay off,” said head coach Jennifer Szczesniak.
