The Lyons Township High School Pom squads had a great start to their competition season recently. The Varsity squad earned 1st place in Lyrical and Pom, which qualified them for Illinois Drill Team Association state competition and they took 2nd place in the IHSA Competitive Dance category. In addition, the Junior Varsity squad took 1st place three categories: Lyrical, Pom and Kick and qualified for state in the Lyrical category. The coaching staff includes: varsity coach Brittany Knickelbein and junior varsity coach Dana Fry, assisted by Annie Pinta
