LTHS Returning To In-Person Learning
In-person athletics and activities will continue to be shut down, official says.
LA GRANGE, IL — Starting next Monday, Lyons Township High School will return to in-person learning, the school announced Wednesday afternoon.
As long as classrooms are sufficiently staffed and coronavirus cases remain stable, the school will finish the final two weeks of the semester with half of students on each campus at a time, according to a statement from Superintendent Tim Kilrea.
"Should the need arise to pivot back to full remote, we will give families as much notice as possible," Kilrea said.

In-person athletics and other extracurricular activities will continue to be paused until further notice, in accordance with the governor's order, he said.
"I’d like to gently remind everyone — students, staff and families alike — that we all play a part in helping slow the spread of the virus, and I urge all to continue practicing mitigation measures, especially as we approach the holiday season," Kilrea said.

Lyons Township is opening in a fuller manner than other high schools. York High School in Elmhurst continues to be operating remotely and says it will do so through the end of the semester.
Hinsdale Central and South have kept in-person learning, but with just 25 percent of students in school at a time.
