LTHS Reverses Slide In SAT Scores, But Not Where It Was
The high school is still below its pre-pandemic numbers, according to state data.

LA GRANGE, IL – Lyons Township High School improved its SAT scores for the first time since before the pandemic.
On Monday, the state released the latest testing data on the Illinois Report Card website.
According to the data, 55 percent of Lyons Township juniors taking the SAT last school year met state standards in English language arts. That was up from 49 percent a year before, but still behind the 60 percent in 2019.

In math, 54 percent of juniors made the benchmark, higher than the 53 percent from a year before. In 2019, 64 percent of students met standards.
Elmhurst's York High School also reversed its years-long slide in SAT scores.

As with most wealthy schools, Lyons Township High School was well ahead of statewide averages.
Across Illinois, 32 percent of juniors met the English language arts standards last year, compared with 36 percent before the pandemic.
In math, 27 percent met the benchmark statewide last school year, down from 34 percent pre-pandemic.
