LTTV reels in awards at video festival

Lyons Township High School LTTV television students competed in the annual Midwest Media Educators High School Video Festival with five Top 5 finishes. In total, LTTV crew members earned two 2nd place awards, one 4th place award and two 5th place awards. In addition, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Chicago/Midwest Chapter recognized LTTV with a Crystal Pillar award for 1st place in the category of Live Sports.

Station advisor Bill Allan noted that LT competed against students from 53 schools and said, “This competition is fierce. Students know they not only have to have excellent video and editing skills, they also have to be great storytellers with loads of creativity. I’m proud and continuously impressed with the talent and hard work our students demonstrate.”
