Lyons Man Violates Order of Protection by Leaving Valentine's Day Voicemails: Prosecutor

Prosecutors said man has seven other domestic-related arrests.

Kenny Jordan, 46 | Cook County Sheriff

A Lyons man was charged with violating an order of protection after prosecutors said he left two voicemail messages for a woman on Valentine’s Day.

Kenny Jordan, 46, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of violating an order of protection. He also has a pending case for domestic abuse from March 2015.

According to the charges, Jordan twice called a woman he was ordered to stay away from and left two voicemail messages on Feb. 14. Jordan has also allegedly made “numerous” other phone calls to the woman.

Prosecutors said the woman claims she recognized Jordan’s voice on the messages.

The assistant public defender told the judge that Jordan denies making the phone calls.

Prior to Valentine’s Day, prosecutors said Jordan has seven other domestic-related arrests.

Jordan is being held without bond for violating his bond from the 2015 case. Judge Felice set bail for $500,000 for violating an order of protection.

“If he bonds out I want him to wear a GPS tracker,” the judge said.

“He already has a GPS on him,” the assistant public defender said.

“Then we’ll put another one on him because he doesn’t get it,” Judge Felice said.

Jordan is due back in court March 2 in Bridgeview.
