Nazareth Academy Announces Fall Play

Performances are Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m.

LA GRANGE PARK, IL — Nazareth Academy will present "The Glass Menagerie" this fall. The play, by Tennessee Williams, is largely autobiographical and is a retelling of a fractured family struggling against the routines, expectations and fragility of life, the school said.

“It is such a pleasure to work with a small cast to dig deep into this dramatic masterpiece," Director Kim White said in a release. “We are so excited about our plans to turn the Romano Theatre stage into a ‘black-box’ setting by inviting the audience onto the stage. It’s going to be great!”

The school said the cast features Lucy Battaglia of Hinsdale as the mother, Patrick Uphues of Berwyn as Tom, Mary Calabria of Darien as Laura and Ted Bucur of Berwyn as the gentleman caller.
