Nazareth Academy Announces Inductees To Athletic Hall Of Fame
Nazareth Academy has inducted seven new members into the Athletic Hall of Fame.

LA GRANGE PARK, IL — Nazareth Academy has inducted seven new members into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Kristen Driscoll Stojetz '89 (Coach and Athlete); Doug Hunt (Coach); Athletes Julie Schiffler '08, Kelley Dunne Herman '04, Lawrence Cannon '03 and Bill Broderick '96; and Friend of Athletics Bob Driscoll. The school said for the first time at Nazareth, one person, Driscoll Stojetz, was inducted as both an athlete and a coach.
According to the school, the honorees and their guests celebrated before the boys basketball game with a reception in the Hanson Dining Hall. During halftime, each inductee received a commemorative award listing their accomplishments at Nazareth from Nazareth Principal Deborah Tracy and Nazareth President Dennis Moran.
“As we pride ourselves on the development of the whole person, we are happy to recall those women and men
who have contributed to the Nazareth Academy Athletic Program throughout our history," Tracy said. "Their examples as student-athletes, coaches and fans help to raise the bar of excellence as we look to a strong and vibrant future in Catholic High School education. We congratulate and thank them and their families for their contributions and accomplishments as we welcome them into the Nazareth Academy Athletic Hall of Fame."

Bill Broderick, '96
- 1994 Football All Conference, 1995 Football All Conference, 1995 Football Roadrunner Award
1995 Football Suburban Life All Area, 1993-1996 Track & Field Conference Champion and 1996 Athlete of the Year Award.
Lawrence Cannon, '03

Kelley Dunne Herman, '04
- 4 Year Member of Nazareth Pom & Dance Team, 2004 Team Captain, 2004 Pom & Dance Roadrunner Award, 2004-2010 Professional Dancer for the Chicago Rush, 2011-2012 Professional Dancer for the Chicago Bulls Luvabulls. As a professional dancer, Herman has traveled across the United States and internationally, performing and representing her teams and country, including a NATO-led international peacekeeping force.
Doug Hunt, Coach 1973-2017
- 44 years as teacher, coach and Science Department Chair, 1989 Soccer Regional Coach of the Year, 1996, 2006 Soccer Person of the Year, 2010 Nazareth Academy Teacher of the Year, 2011, 2014 ESCC Soccer Coach of the Year, 25 Regional Championships, 4 Sectional Championships, 1 Supersectional Appearance and 2 Elite Eight Appearances.
Julie Schiffler, '08
- 4 Year Varsity Basketball, Varsity Volleyball & Varsity Soccer, 2006 Basketball All Area, 2006 Basketball Roadrunner Award, 2007 Volleyball All Area, 2007 Volleyball Roadrunner Award, 2007, 2008 ESCC Basketball All Conference, 2007, 2008 Basketball All Area, 2008 Basketball Roadrunner Award, 2008 Soccer All Area, 2008 Female Athlete of the Year, 4 Year Scholarship Athlete at University of Saint Francis, 2011 CCAC Basketball All Conference, 2012 NAIA Basketball Scholar Athlete, 2015-2016 Nazareth Assistant Basketball Coach, and 2015, 2016, 2017 Nazareth Assistant Soccer Coach.

Bob Driscoll, Friend Of Athletics
- Bob Driscoll has been supporting Nazareth athletics since 1985 when his daughter Kristen began her high school athletic career. It continued on as his son Brian took the football field from 1989-1993. Driscoll can be found at nearly every Nazareth Academy sporting event, even some 25 years after his children graduated. He says, “I consider sending my children to Nazareth one of the best decisions I have made. Just as they have made lifelong friends from Nazareth, I too value the relationships I have developed as a member of the Nazareth family.”
