Nazareth Students Organize Prom For Teens With Disabilities
The March 9 event is a co-op between Nazareth's Friends in Service and Hospitality Service Team and ASPIRE of Illinois.

LA GRANGE PARK, IL - A group of Nazareth Academy students are organizing a prom night for teenagers with disabilities. It will be the fifth event of this kind at the school since 2011, and go from 7-9 p.m. on March 9 this year.
All guests will be accompanied by a Nazareth student who will act as a "buddy," according to a news release from the school. The event is a co-op between Nazareth's Friends in Service and Hospitality Service Team and ASPIRE of Illinois.
“This night includes music and dancing, flowers and photos, food and fun. It is truly a magical night for volunteers and guests alike,” said Janet Rausch, director of Nazareth’s Campus Ministry program.

Students involved in the FISH Prom 2019 planning process are seniors Christian Cano (Berwyn), LeeAnn Coniglio (Westchester), Claire DeWitt (Hinsdale), Anahi Marquez (Berwyn) and Michael Milano (Elmhurst).
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to make someone’s night special," Marquez said. "I hope our guests leave feeling joyous and wishing to stay longer."

A DJ, photos, games, treats and prom favors will be included on prom night. Confirmed reservations are required. All interested families need to register by Wednesday, March 6. To do so, please call Mrs. Janet Rausch at 708-387-8520.
