New Superintendent Approved by District 102 Board of Education
Kyle Schumacher's three-year contract will begin July 1, 2015.

Elementary School District 102 has a new superintendent, beginning July 1.
Kyle Schumacher’s three-year contract was approved Dec. 18 by the District 102 Board of Education, according to a District 102 announcement.
Schumacher has been the superintendent of schools of the K-12 district in Telluride, Colorado, since 2011. He has more than 19 years of administrative experience.

Schumacher is an Illinois native. He’s was previously the assistant superintendent of schools in Lake Forest, and he has worked in suburban Chicago schools as a band teacher, instrumental music director, assistant principal, principal, and director of fine arts, according to District 102.
The process that led the board to select Schumacher included surveys, focus groups and a multi-stage interview process that involved parents, staff, administrators and the school board.
