New Two-Mile Reindeer Run Planned At Brookfield Zoo

BROOKFIELD, IL – Zoogoers are invited to grab their glow sticks and running shoes and head to Brookfield Zoo for its first Reindeer Run, sponsored by Revolution Brewing, on Saturday, Nov. 24. The 2-mile course is entirely inside the zoo and runners can enjoy the LED lights for the Holiday Magic festival.

The zoo said the non-competitive run (not timed) will begin at 7 p.m. in front of The Pavilions. Registrants may enter and check-in at the zoo’s north gate entrance beginning at 5:30 p.m. Runners can take a spin on The Carousel and meet several of the zoo’s animal ambassadors who will make appearances at 6 and 7:30 p.m. In addition, there will be a selection of food and beverages available for purchase. The zoo said registered participants who are over 21 will receive a complimentary drink, courtesy of Revolution Brewing.

Registration for Reindeer Run is $25 per person (plus a $2.50 sign-up fee), which includes a commemorative warm knit beanie featuring the Reindeer Run logo. To register and for additional information, go to CZS.org/reindeerrun.
