Ogden Avenue School Collects Change During "Pennies for Paws"
Hinsdale Humane Society Shelter Pets to Benefit from $1,529.63 Raised by District 102 Students

Student Council members at Ogden Avenue School in La Grange rallied fellow students to empty their piggy banks in the name of homeless animals for the Hinsdale Humane Society’s 10th Annual Pennies for Paws spare change drive from April 9 - May 13. This program is designed to bring humane education into school classrooms and local businesses while raising money for the homeless animals at the shelter. Ogden students were able to raise $1,529.63 in donations. Pennies for Paws is an important fundraiser that teaches charitable and educational lessons and since 2009, area schools have raised nearly $50,000 in donations to help animals in need.
