April showers bring May flowers. The Park District of La Grange will be hosting its third annual Park Pride event on Saturday, May 14th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Park Pride is a village wide volunteer service day that will be held at select La Grange parks. This event is for participants of all ages. Families and community groups are welcome to participate. Our goal is to get the community involved to help beautify our parks for everyone to enjoy. The event will be held rain or shine!
In support of the event the park district is holding a raffle located at the Recreation Center 536 East Avenue, La Grange. One adult winner will receive a gift basket which includes a plot at the community garden located at Denning Park and a $15 gift card to Home Depot! Stop by the Recreation Center to enter your chance to win!
Large groups should email Diana Faught at dianafaught@pdlg.org for pre-registration. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for each minor who chooses to participate. Participants can also register the day of the event at the Recreation Center beginning at 8:30 a.m.
