Senior Scuffle, 'Very Hostile' Caller: La Grange Police
An altercation was reported at a La Grange retirement home, police say.
LA GRANGE, IL — In recent days, La Grange police took calls about a retirement home fight, a woman who claimed her ex-boyfriend was outside, a stolen statue and a theft of personal items. Here is information from the reports:
- A physical altercation was reported June 18 at the Windsor Place senior living home, 42 S. Ashland Ave. One man was accused of punching another man in the head over a disagreement.
- A woman in the 10 block of North Brainard Avenue called police about 1 p.m. June 15 saying her boyfriend was outside and that she was in fear for her life. She was described in a police report as a "very hostile" caller. The woman wanted to speak with the officer in charge, but dispatchers were unable to accommodate her. The woman then hung up. The police report states the man was nowhere around the woman's home.
- A passport, a phone computer cable cord and a cellphone were reported stolen June 12 in the 900 block of Eighth Avenue.
- A resident in the 1100 block of South Waiola Avenue reported June 15 that someone had stolen a cement goose statue from the front of her house in the last 24 hours. The resident said there were no surveillance cameras or known suspects.
