ST. FRANCIS XAVIER THEATRE NIGHT CELEBRATES THE ‘20s

Reception and Private Performance to Benefit Ministries

The Roaring 1920s will come alive in Western Springs at the second annual St. Francis Xavier Theatre Night on Wednesday March 4. Beginning at 6:45 p.m. with a gala 20s-themed reception including wine, beer, and light bites from area restaurants, guests will enjoy a private performance of The Great Gatsby at 8 p.m.

Sponsoring the performance are long-time St. Francis parishioners Thom and Ann Serafin, who have been involved at both the parish and the Western Springs Theatre for many years. Ann Serafin currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Theatre and enthusiastically encourages parish and community attendance. “Western Springs Theatre does very high-quality productions beyond the scope of many community theaters. Sponsoring a benefit is a win-win for us because it helps the parish, and it helps the theater. Not to mention, it's a fun way to encourage fellowship and community."

In addition to the Serafins, several other parishioners are involved in the cast and crew of the performance. Beth (Brewick) DiMarco appears as part of the dance ensemble, and Tim Gannon is Set Construction Chair.
