Summit trucking company says it is looking to protect its employees.

SUMMIT, IL — A trucking company in Summit, a Chicago suburb, says it will stop making shipments to towns that are calling for defunding or disbanding of their police, according to a WGN story.

On Wednesday, Mike Kucharski, of JKC Trucking, told Fox & Friends that his company is enacting the policy to protect its drivers' safety.

“Our first priority is to support our drivers and their safety when they are on the road,” Kucharski said.
