LA GRANGE PARK, IL – Police have been investigating and verifying the source of a threat at Park Junior High School in La Grange Park, according to La Grange School District 102.

Through a public records request, Patch obtained the alert that the district issued to Park families.

On March 9, local police departments received information suggesting concern in the community about an "isolated incident" brought to the school's attention, the alert said.

La Grange and La Grange Park police have been investigating, according to the alert.

"(I)n an abundance of caution, you may have noticed an increase in police presence during drop-off in the morning and dismissal in the afternoon," the district said. "At this point, the Police are confident there is not a threat."

The district said it would notify residents if it received more information.

La Grange Park police said Friday they had no information about the incident.
