Trustee Resigns, Library Board Seeks Applicants to Fill Vacancy

The Board of Library Trustees accepted Mary Nelson's resignation at their regular meeting May 19.

Library Trustee Mary Nelson tendered resignation from her position on the La Grange Public Library Board, effective Jane 17, 2015.

Nelson has served on the Library Board of Trustees since May 1989, holding a variety of duties and most recently serving as vice president of the library board.

Throughout her tenure with the library board, Nelson was a passionate advocate for strong library services to our community. With regret, the Board of Library Trustees accepted her resignation at their regular meeting May 19.

The library board seeks applicants for the position to fill the unexpired term until April 2017. Any La Grange resident, 18 or over, may apply. We are looking for someone who will bring positive energy to the board and work collaboratively with others.

Interested parties are asked to submit a letter of qualification or resume along with a statement of interest to Library Director Jeannie Dilger, La Grange Public Library, 10 W. Cossitt Ave., La Grange, IL 60525 or email to dilgerj@lagrangelibrary.org by June 12, 2015.
