Two Nazareth Student Athletes Commit To College
Annie Stritzel of Chicago will attend Harvard University and Laila Rodriguez of Chicago will attend Trinity Christian College.
LA GRANGE PARK, IL — In conjunction with National Letter of Intent Signing Day, Nazareth Academy has announced that two student-athletes from the Class of 2019 Girls Basketball Program have officially committed to continue their academic and athletic pursuits at the college level. The school said Annie Stritzel of Chicago will attend Harvard University and Laila Rodriguez of Chicago will attend Trinity Christian College.
According to the school, Stritzel has developed into one of the top players in the Chicago area and is Nazareth Academy’s all-time leading scorer before her senior season has even begun. Stritzel is coached by her father, Head Girls Basketball Coach, Eddie Stritzel.
“Annie has received every individual award a player can receive but her best quality is her teammates love to play with her. She is a winner," Coach Stritzel said.
