Earlier this year, Palmer Place changed hands to Dave and Leslie Tarman, from longtime owners Steve and Phil Palmer.

In December, Dave Tarman was asked at a Village Board meeting whether they planned to continue the restaurant's Shamrock Fest. He said they were considering it and looking into the permit process.

It turns out the new owners are maintaining the tradition. They already held performances over the weekend.

On Thursday, the Mulhern School of Irish Dance is set to perform at the restaurant, 56 S. La Grange Road. The Shannon Rovers Irish Pipe Band follows at 6 p.m. Finally, the Redmonds are scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Elm, 23 W. Harris Ave., also has performances. During the noon hour, the O’Neill Mulhern Geraghty Irish Dancers are slated to perform in the main dining room.

From 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the JBC Jukebox Duo will play Irish music on the rooftop.
