Village Board Approves Bond Issue to Fund Storm Relief

The average La Grange homeowner will pay about $200 more each year in taxes to repay the bonds.

The La Grange Village Board has agreed to issue bonds to pay for a storm relief sewer, a lateral line and a flood wall.

Raised sales taxes, utility taxes and sewer rates will help repay the bonds over 20 years, according to the Chicago Tribune, and the average La Grange homeowner will pay about $200 more each year.
