'You Could Lose Your House,' LTHS Board Told
Woman warns that board members could go to federal prison if they continued current policies.
LA GRANGE, IL – A woman this week warned Lyons Township High School board members that they could go to federal prison and lose all their possessions.
At Monday's board meeting Lindsay Dillon, who has spoken to the board before, presented what she said was a letter of intent to file a claim with the school's insurer.
She said the board's failure to respond to her "aforementioned demands" within 72 hours would result in the claim being filed.

Dillon went through a laundry list of conservatives' objections nationwide to school policies.
Dillon's legal theory resembles one that has been aired at school board meetings around the country. It is questionable, as an NBC story documented last month.

Dillon accused the board of practicing medicine without a license, giving pornographic materials to students, violating students' religious rights, imprisoning students, bullying and causing mental anguish.
"That means you could lose your house, your cars, your job, your retirement," Dillon told the board. "You are in violation of multiple state and federal laws."
Dillon said the board members could face time in federal prison if they do not cease and desist.
"I don't want this to happen to any of you," she said. "All I want is the best for our children."
Dillon made a number of demands of the board if it wanted to avoid a claim:
- Stop spreading COVID-19 propaganda. She did not define what that was.
- Stop pushing critical race theory. The school says the theory is not in its curriculum.
- End LGBTQ Month.
- Stop requiring that children declare if they are transgender.
- Halt universal masking. That policy ended last month.
- Remove all obscene and pornographic materials, though she did say what materials fell in that category.
- Remove "all boys from the girls locker room and bathrooms. Remove all girls from boys bathrooms."
"Failure to comply with the aforementioned demands within 72 hours of receiving this notice will result in a claim being filed against the insurance or bond company for the full amount of the coverage, which is $1 million each for each of the seven board members," Dillon said.
She left the letter of intent on the podium, as she said she was instructed to do by a police officer at the meeting.
Afterward, some in the audience applauded Dillon's speech. The board does not respond to public comments.
In February, a woman spoke at an Elmhurst School District 205 meeting, threatening to file claims on the board's surety bond. She was upset over the mask mandate.
In Illinois, school board members are unpaid.
