1 Dead In Rollover Crash Near Lake Bluff

LAKE BLUFF, IL — One person is dead following a rollover crash near Lake Bluff Saturday morning, authorities said.

The crash happened at about 9:30 a.m. when a semi truck collided with a pick-up truck just south of the Waukegan Road and Muir Avenue intersection, according to a news release from the Libertyville Fire Department.

The semi truck rolled over and the truck was on its side when first responders arrived at the scene. The pickup truck driver was trapped inside his vehicle, was extricated and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the news release.

The semi truck driver was not injured, authorities said.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and the name of the person killed in the crash has not yet been released.
