3 Passengers Flee Crash Before Driver's DUI Charge: LF Blotter

LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from the Lake Forest Police Department and court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

A 30-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 8:36 a.m. on May 18 in the 500 block of Sheridan Road and charged with driving without a valid license after being pulled over for speeding 52 mph in a 30 mph zone. He was also issued citations for driving without insurance, possession of cannabis, open transportation of alcohol and speeding.

A 30-year-old Park City woman was arrested at 11:34 p.m. on May 19 and charged with driving with a suspended license after she was pulled over near the intersection of Sheridan and Old Elm roads for driving 57 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Peter T. Stint, 18, of the 500 block of West Washington Avenue in Lake Bluff, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. on May 20 near the intersection of Old Mill Road and West Fork Drive and charged with minor consumption of alcohol and zero tolerance driving under the influence after police got a call that a black Audi ran off of the road and crashed into the woods. Police were told three of the four people in the car had run away before the arrival of officers. Stint, who reportedly admitted to drinking beer before the crash, told cops he was driving too fast to maneuver through the curve and lost control, crashing into multiple small trees. He was also ticketed for driving too fast for conditions.

Trevor C. Bain, 23, of the 15200 block of Golden Rain Drive in Chesterfield, Missouri, was arrested at 2:51 a.m. on May 20 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a BAC 0.08 or above following a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 60 and Saunders Road. Cops pulled him over after he reportedly drove over the center median and quickly determined he was impaired. He admitted to drinking beer and officers conducted a field sobriety test. A breath test later indicated he had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.237, nearly three times the legal limit. He was also ticketed for headlamp violation and improper lane usage.

A 26-year-old Norwood Park Township man was pulled over at 12:42 a.m. on May 27 and cited for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop near the intersection of Sheridan Road and McCormick Road.

Francisco J. Martinez, 33, of the 100 block of North Avenue in Highwood, was arrested at 4:03 a.m. on May 27 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop in the 900 block of Sheridan Road. Police pulled him over in a Ford pick-up driving at a high rate of speed and smelled alcohol. He later provided a breath test indicating a blood alcohol concentration of 0.127.

A 25-year-old North Chicago man was arrested at 6:39 p.m. on May 27 near the intersection of Route 60 and Waukegan Road and charged with driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over for reportedly using both hands to text message while driving. After pulling him over police also discovered there was an active warrant for his arrest issued by Effingham County.

A 27-year-old Franklin, Wisconsin woman was arrested 5:06 a.m. on May 29 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Rockland Road.

A 19-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 9:06 p.m. on May 29 near the intersection of Waukegan and Old Mill roads and charged with driving without a valid license. He was also ticketed for speeding.

A 19-year-old Lake Forest man was arrested at 9:44 p.m. on May 29 near the intersection of Route 41 and Deerpath Road and charged with driving with a suspended license and driving with a suspended registration.

Daniel K. Lee, 31, of the 1300 block of North Western Avenue in Lake Forest, was arrested at 2:07 a.m. on May 31 and charged with domestic battery. Police were called to his home for a report of a domestic battery and told that he had grabbed another person and thrown them to the ground. Based on evidence and speaking to both parties, Lee was arrested and also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
