Contractor Caught On Camera Collecting Underpants: LF Blotter

An alleged underwear thief, teen marijuana dealer and banned college boyfriend appear on the Lake Forest police blotter for May 10 - May 17

LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from the Lake Forest Police Department and court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Duwayne S. Moss, 27, of the 3100 block of Emmaus Avenue in Zion, was arrested at 11:47 p.m. on May 5 near the intersection of Route 41 and Elm Road and charged with misdemeanor unlawful use of a firearm and driving with a suspended license. Police pulled over a Ford Focus Moss was driving after it ran a red light on Route 41. When he rolled down the window police smelled marijuana, and a short time later they learned his driver's license was suspended. He and his two passengers, a 25-year-old Waukegan man and a 24-year-old Evanston man, were asked to leave the car and found to be in possession of small amounts of cannabis. Police also found a loaded .380 handgun that belonged to Moss.

Marcos Bello-Ramirez, 40, of the 600 block of Washington Park in Waukegan, was arrested at 12:52 p.m. on May 10 and charged with misdemeanor theft in the 1000 block of Estes Avenue. Police were told that a painting contractor had been seen on video going through drawers in the master bedroom and walking out with a visible "bulge" in his pocket. Police spoke to Bello-Ramirez, who gave permission to search his work truck. Inside, police found several pairs of women's underwear under the front seat, as well as two plastic bags with numerous additional pairs of women's underwear in the truck. The contractor reportedly admitted to stealing the underwear.

Raymond H. Hunnicut, 24, of the 900 block of Crimson Court in Prospect Heights was arrested at 3:09 p.m on May 12 and charged with criminal trespassing at Lake Forest College, 555 Sheridan Rd. Police were called after campus security found a man at the college who had previously be banned from returning due to "domestic issue." Police found him on scene, confirmed the trespassing warning had been issued and arrested and charged Hunnicut.

A pair of 20-year-old Gurnee men were cited as being minors in possession of alcohol after they were removed from a train at the east Lake Forest Metra station. Police spoke to the two men, smelled alcohol on their breath and took them into custody when they refused to cooperate. Police reportedly found a backpack in their possession with two open bottles of whiskey inside.
