34 Distracted Driving Citations, 3 For Underage Drinking: Blotter
Lake Forest Police Blotter: April 13 - April 25

LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from the Lake Forest Police Department and court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 27-year-old Waukegan man was arrested at 3:17 a.m. on April 12 and charged with driving with a revoked driver's license following a traffic stop for an equipment violation near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Woodland Road.

A 20-year-old McHenry woman and a 19-year-old McHenry man were both issued citations for underage drinking around 12:47 a.m. on April 15 after police were called to Lake Forest College about two intoxicated non-students on campus. Later that night, police were called to LFC's Nollen Hall around 1:43 a.m. for a report of an extremely intoxicated man. An 18-year-old Des Plaines man was taken to the hospital and issued an administrative hearing citation for underage drinking.
A 28-year-old Highland Park man was arrested at 12:16 a.m. on April 17 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 60 and Waukegan Road. He was also ticketed for speeding.

Gabriela D. Crespo, 24, of the 100 block of Washington Road in Lake Forest, was arrested at 1:10 am. on April 20 near the intersection of Westleigh Road and Red Fox Lane and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She was also issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
A 17-year-old Lake Forest boy was arrested at 5:05 p.m. on April 22 and charged with domestic battery after police were called to dispute among family members on Green Briar Lane.
Niklas D. Arden, 34, of the 2700 block of Enoch Avenue in Zion, was arrested outside a grocery store in the 800 block of Western Avenue at 4:34 p.m. on April 24 as he was getting into a car after he had reportedly just stolen a bottle of liquor.
On April 19 and 20, Lake Forest police carried out two distracted driving enforcement operations around two school zones – Deerpath Middle School and Lake Forest High School – as part of an IDOT safety campaign.
Police issued 34 citations and 13 warnings to motorists for using cell phones while driving during over the two-day period.
