LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from the Lake Forest Police Department and court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS.

A 27-year-old Waukegan man was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license after police were called to the scene of a traffic crash at 9:45 a.m. on April 5 in the 200 block of Green Bay Road. A GMC and a Buick collided and airbags were deployed.

Brian R. Gallas, 28, of the 2200 block of Milton Avenue in Park Ridge, was arrested at 1:35 p.m. on April 7 in the 200 block of Illinois Road and later charged with aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery and unlawful restraint in connection with an incident the previous day.

Royce W. Gregory, 21, of the 1100 block of Timber Lane in Lake Forest, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a a traffic stop at 1:28 a.m. on April 8 on Route 41 near Westleigh Road. Police noticed him driving an SUV 10 mph below the speed limit and swerving around the road and pulled him over. While speaking with him, officers smelled alcohol and noticed he was showing "obvious signs" of being drunk, as well as an open case of beer and several empty beer cans in the car. He admitted to drinking two to three beers within the prior hour. Based on that, the officers' observations and his driving, he was charged with DUI.

Landon S. Kerouac, 19, of the 300 block of West Hawthorne in Lake Bluff, was taken into custody following a traffic stop at 2:13 a.m. on April 8 near the intersection of Deerpath and Hastings Road and cited for speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol and minor consumption of alcohol. Police pulled over a car going 51 mph in a 35 mph zone and smelled the "strong odor" of alcohol coming from Kerouac, the driver. Officers noticed an open bottle of alcohol in the passenger area and he admitted to drinking earlier in the evening. Later he provided a breath sample indicating a blood alcohol concentration of 0.11.
