$6,000 in Scholarships Offered For Best Lake Forest Student Essays
Friends of Lake Forest Library announces essay contest for graduating high school seniors from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff or Knollwood.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Attention graduating high school seniors who live in Lake Forest, Lake Bluff or Knollwood! Three #2,000 grants have just been announced by by The Friends of Lake Forest Library for the winners of a scholarship essay contest due March 15th, 2017.
Winners will show a passion for reading through their activities outside school and from a 500 word essay for the contest.
Applicants are asked to complete a form listing any extracurricular reading or book-related activities, a list of their favorite books and the essay, which is to be based on the topic:

"If you could choose ONE of the books on this list to share with one person or group of people, which book would it be, who would you share it with and why? Please be specific."
The Friends of Lake Forest Library Scholarship began in 2003 and aims to recognize students whose lives are enriched by reading.
