Lake Forest's Woodlands Academy named No. 1 Catholic High School in Illinois by research website (chicagotribune.com) — Woodlands Academy in Lake Forest has been ranked the No. 1 Catholic high school and No. 1 all-girls high school in Illinois by research site Niche, earning an A+ grade for the eighth straight year. The school's leaders say its small, faith-based, all-girls environment and strong academics help students become confident, college-ready young women connected to a global Sacred Heart network.
   

2. Man allegedly drove drunk, fled officers and left 2 crash scenes, sparking large police search in Highland Park (lakemchenryscanner.com) — Lake Forest residents should know that local police have charged a Chicago man with leaving the scene of a separate crash in town, tied to an alleged drunk driving spree across several communities. While details of the Lake Forest crash remain unclear, the case is moving forward in local court next month alongside related charges in Bannockburn and Highland Park.
   

3. Minnesota Tied 13th After Opening Day at Windon Memorial Classic - University of Minnesota Athletics (gophersports.com) — Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest is hosting the Windon Memorial Classic, where the University of Minnesota men's golf team sits tied for 13th after 36 holes. With one round left, several Gopher players remain within reach of climbing the leaderboard as Tuesday's final 18 holes begin at 8 a.m.
   

4. Illinois's Best High Schools Ranked In New Analysis (patch.com) — Two Lake Forest schools—Lake Forest High School and Lake Forest Academy—are highlighted among Illinois' top public and private high schools in new statewide rankings from Niche. The analysis combines test data and millions of reviews to help families compare options, with several nearby North Shore schools also earning prominent spots.
