Automated Parking Stations Will Be Added to East Train Station Lots
As change is made, parking tokens at Westminster and McKinley parking lots will no longer be needed or accepted.

New, automated parking pay stations will be live in the Westminster and McKinley parking lots at the East Train Station in Lake Forest on Saturday, August 15. The stations will be similar to the ones already installed at the city’s Telegraph Road Train Station, according to a city of Lake Forest news release.
Use of the parking lots will require a City-issued parking permit or daily fee of $3 cash or $3.25 if paid by credit card. Each parking space will be numbered, and a single pay station will handle payments for spaces within these lots.
As part of this project, parking tokens will no longer be accepted or needed. The City will discontinue the sale of parking tokens on Friday, August 7. Tokens may be exchanged for a refund at the Municipal Services building (800 N. Field Drive), open Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Those seeking a refund will need to bring any unused tokens.

The East Train Station parking lot will continue to be permit parking only. The Westminster northern parking lot area (formerly known as the Scott Street lot), which was used by Lake Forest High School students, will become permit or daily fee parking, as will the McKinley parking lot. The daily fee spaces in the North Shore lot will also be removed and the lot will become strictly all day permit required.
The pay stations will be located at the south end of the Westminster parking lot and in the island at the entrance of the McKinley parking lot.
