After being cooped up indoors all winter it’s time to take advantage of the great outdoors, even if they are talking snow Saturday night.

Enjoy Citadel Theatre’s unique production of Johnny Appleseed at Mellody Farm Nature Preserve, celebrate the 41^st annual Earth Day at Ryerson Woods, and get a kick out of watching your little tykes interact with the Easter Bunny at Deerpath Park.

This is also a great weekend to support the youth of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff.  Spend time with your kids and their friends at , and don’t forget to check out the incredible talent at Lake Bluff Middle School’s production of The Wizard of Oz.

• Why Go:  Enjoy the springtime beauty of Mellody Farm Nature Preserve and Citadel Theatre’s extraordinary production of the legendary story of Johnny Appleseed. Bring a blanket or a chair, dress for the weather, and enjoy! Whole Foods of Deerfield will provide refreshments and snacks.

Amazing Grace and Chips for Charity

• Where/When: CROYA Student Union, 7-10 p.m. Friday (April 15).
• Why Go: Parents get the opportunity to bond with their 7^th through 12^th grade children and experience the fun of CROYA, all while contributing to charity. Card games, live music, a bake sale, and the chance to spend an evening with your kids and their peers, can you think of a better way to spend your evening? Take advantage of this rare event.

The Wizard of Oz

• Why Go:  Who doesn’t love this timeless musical? Dorothy, the cowardly lion, the tin man, and the scatter brained scarecrow are some of the most beloved characters of all time. Lake Bluff’s most talented middle school students bring them to life in this one weekend only production.

Easter Egg Hunt and Magic Show

Spring Celebration-Earth Week
