Chicago Bear's Senior Director of Special Projects, Patrick McCaskey to speak at Saint Patrick Church - Lake Forest

Lake Forest, IL – Have people lost interest or, do they hunger for more meaning and understanding on their Catholic faith? Saint Patrick Church Lake Forest seeks to answer that question through a Speaker Series, which aims to enhance the meaning of the faith, and to spark interest and enthusiasm on the Catholic Church. Patrick McCaskey, board member of the Chicago Bears, will give a talk on the story of his Catholic roots, his family, and his team on January 20th, 2016 at 7:00pm. The event, which will take place at the Main Church on 950 West Everett Rd., Lake Forest, is free and open to the public.

Patrick McCaskey is a Chicago Bears board member and the Bears’ senior director of special projects. He has been working for the Bears since 1974. Pat is the author of four books, the latest is “Sports and Faith: More Stories of the Devoted and the

Devout.” Pat is a speaker known for his moving and humorous presentations on sports, community, and faith. “Pat will give witness of how he has lived out his faith through out various circumstances. We are certain it will bring up interesting and important reflections on the importance of family, love, and faith”, says John Lucas, Pastoral Associate Intern at Saint Patrick Church.

The series Rich Food for Thought: Thoughts that feed the hungry heart, started with Catholic Speaker, author, and radio host Jon Leonetti back in October 2015. “The Speaker Series has as a main objective to provide food for thought to our community, while covering various important issues that affect our daily lives”, explains Deacon Ray Loman. The series, which features a total of four remarkable speakers and leaders within the Catholic world, will continue with two more speakers on April and June, respectively.
