Police were called to to Route 60 west of Waukegan Road after getting a complaint about an older, blue car "driving all over the road" with a piece of cardboard covering up its license plate. After finding and pulling over the car, they immediately smelled alcohol on the breath of the driver, who admitted his driver's license was suspended. While speaking to police he appeared intoxicated, so he was taken to the Public Safety Building. Police said he submitted to a breath test that indicated his blood alcohol concentration was 0.154, nearly twice the legal limit.
