Dan Proft Headlining Local December 5th Event
All are invited to hear Dan Proft Saturday December 5, 2015 at The Women's Republican Club of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Christmas Luncheon.

All men and women are welcome to attend a festive Christmas luncheon and lecture Saturday, December 5, 2015 hosted by The Women’s Republican Club of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff. Dan Proft will be the luncheon’s keynote speaker on “Turning Around Illinois and the Nation in 2016”. The event kicks off at 11:30 am at Exmoor Country Club, 700 Vine Avenue, Highland Park, Illinois.
Dan Proft co-hosts the AM 560 morning drive show from 5 to 9 am Monday through Friday with Amy Jacobson. He also works as a Senior Fellow at the Illinois Policy Institute, a free-market think tank in Chicago, in addition to serving on the boards of directors for the Disabled Patriot Fund, a nonprofit that provides assistance to Illinois military families; Freedom to Learn-Illinois, which provides private elementary school scholarships to disadvantaged children in Chicago; and Aid for Women, a Catholic pregnancy center in Chicago. He is also a speaker and writer for the Illinois Opportunity Project, an organization that promotes free-market solutions.
Proft also serves as the Chairman and Treasurer for Illinois Liberty Principles PAC, an independent expenditure, Super PAC organized “to make independent expenditures in support of liberty oriented policies and candidates.”
On June 23, 2009, Proft announced his candidacy for Governor of Illinois on the Republican ticket. The tagline of Proft’s campaign was “Illinois isn’t broken. It’s fixed,” signifying Illinois’ government is set up to serve the politicians in power, not the people.
Proft called for a “policy revolution” to slice state personal and corporate income taxes in half and abolish the estate tax, to freeze spending and only allow it to increase based on inflation and population growth, and to implement a statewide opportunity scholarship program. He earned 7.78% of the vote in the 7-way primary race.
