Deputy Saves Man From Heroin Overdose near Lake Bluff
Use of naloxone is one of first for department since attaining the drug last fall.

A Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy saved a 27-year-old heroin-overdose victim’s life in unincorporated Lake Bluff last week.
Using the department’s newly attained naloxone auto-injector to offset heroin overdoses, Depuy Michael Platt was able to revive the unresponsive man in the 13600 block of Rockland Road.
“Naloxone auto-injectors are stuck into the thigh of an overdose victim to deliver a counteracting agent,” according to the Lake County News-Sun.
