District 67 Announces Kindergarten Registration Dates

Kindergarten registration will begin for all Lake Forest residents on February 11, 2015. Parents of students who will be five years of age by September 1, 2015 should contact their home school to request a registration packet.

District 67 offers two kindergarten program options: Half-Day, and Extended-Day. The Half- and Extended-Day programs are offered at all elementary schools.

Please note the following dates:

· January 23 - Registration Packets mailed (please contact your home school to request a packet).

· February 11 - Kindergarten registration begins with Parent Information Meetings at each school. Registration materials for all programs may also be turned into your child’s home school between 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Cherokee Parent Meetings - 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Everett Parent Meeting - 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Sheridan Parent Meeting - 6:30-7:30 p.m.

· February 26, 12:00 p.m. - Completed Kindergarten Options Forms and registration materials are due in your school office. The office must have a copy of your child’s birth certificate and proof of residency for your registration to be complete. Materials not received by this deadline for the Extended-Day Programs will not be included in the lottery on March 2nd. (The lottery only applies to the Extended-Day Programs and will occur if registration exceeds classroom group capacity.)
