Driver Whose Car Hit Fire Hydrant Was on Meds: Cops

The Gurnee man was charged after his car hit the hydrant at Deerpath and Oakwood.

LAKE FOREST, IL - A Gurnee man was charged with driving under the influence of drugs last month after his car struck a fire hydrant near Deerpath and Oakwood in Lake Forest.

Jeffrey T. Webster, 25 was charged at 4:29 p.m. that day after failing field sobriety tests and admitting to taking a prescription pain medication that was not prescribed to him, according to a police report. He was also charged with improper lane usage.
