East Train Station Parking Lot will Close for Construction

Weather permitting, the closure will take place from April 20 to May 20.

The parking lot surrounding the East Train Station in Lake Forest will be closed for a month, from April 20 to May 20, as construction on the rehabilitation project continues there, the city announced Wednesday.

During that time, parking will be available in the lot north of Westminster and south of Deerpath, as well as on the southeast corner of Deerpath and McKinley Road north of Gorton Community Center.

Signage will be installed in the parking lot and inside the train station, and letters will be sent to surrounding property owners and Train Station tenants prior to the start of construction. The white City mail box and the Zip Cars will be temporarily relocated to the lot south of Deerpath. Local shuttle bus services will be temporarily relocated to the east side of Western Avenue.
