  • Where/When: James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake; 4 p.m. Sunday (March 13)
  • Why Go: Enjoy the woodwind sounds of nationally acclaimed Chris Vadala, as he performs with the CLC Wind Ensemble and CLC Monday Night Jazz Ensemble.
  • Pricing: $4 for general public, $3 for seniors and for those affiliated with CLC.

 

Karaoke Night Benefit for Citadel Theatre

  • Where/When: Miramar Bistro, 301 Waukegan Ave., Highwood; 7-11 p.m. Saturday (March 12).
  • Why Go: Spend the evening among music, fun and delightful French/Cuban food as you raise funds toward a new sound system for Citadel Theatre Company’s west campus theatre. A silent auction and special performances will take place.
  • Pricing: Single tickets $50.

 

Sixteen Candles at Genessee Theatre

  • Where/When: 203 N. Genessee St., Waukegan; 7 p.m. Friday (March 11).
  • Why Go: Celebrate “Brat Pack Month” in March by viewing this coming-of-age classic film starring Molly Ringwald, who gears up for her not-so-sweet 16th birthday.
  • Pricing: $6 for adults, $3 for children.

 

Spring Teen Fashion Show and Meet and Greet Peter Facinelli

  • Where/When: Westfield Hawthorn, 122 Hawthorn Ctr., Vernon Hills; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (March 13).
  • Why Go: Enjoy the fun spectacle of a Spring Teen Fashion Show and meet the popular film series Twilight Saga’s Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlisle Cullen).
  • Pricing: Fee for autographs and photos, $25/$40.

 

St. Paddy’s Beer Tent at Mickey Finns

  • Where/When: Mickey Finns Brewery, 412 N. Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville; 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday (March 12).
  • Why Go: Celebrate St. Pat’s with Irish music and dancing into the wee hours. Spectacles include Trinity Irish Dancers at 5 p.m. and Fitz and Celts at 8 p.m. Rubber performs later in the Amber Room.
  • Pricing: Free cover before 6 p.m., $10 cover after. 21 and over.

 

Waukegan’s Art Wauk 11

  • Where/When: 116 S. Genesse St., Waukegan; 5-9 p.m. Friday (March 11).
  • Why Go:  Come check out the grand opening of Dinosaur Tattoo and Art Gallery, enjoy live jazz with Ken Hall at Joplin’s Java and gallery and artists receptions at Lake Surf Designs, Dandelion Gallery and New Frontier.
  • Pricing: Free to the public.

 

Zurko’s Antiques and Flea Market

  • Where/When: 1060 E. Peterson Road, Grayslake; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (March 12), 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday (March 13).
  • Why Go: Shop among a list of collectible items like country furniture, jewelry, Victorian antiques, toys, clothing, household materials and more.
  • Pricing: $6 for admission.
