Citadel Thetare presents Johnny Appleseed at Lake Forest Open Lands

Citadel Theatre and Lake Forest Open Lands are teaming up to present a unique performance of Johnny Appleseed. This classic tale will be performed as a theatre trek through Lake Forest Open Lands’ Mellody Farm Nature Preserve, 350 N. Waukegan Road, Lake Forest.  Ideal for all ages, this inspirational story about the life of Johnny Appleseed is a great way to welcome spring.  Snacks and refreshments generously provided after the performance by Whole Foods Market Deerfield. Participants should dress warmly, bring a blanket or portable chair to sit on at the various outdoor performance stations and wear comfortable outdoor shoes.  Performances are Thursday through Saturday, April 14 – 16 and April 21 – 23 at 4:30 pm.  Tickets are $10 for members of Lake Forest Open Lands and $15 for non-members.  For tickets visit www.citadeltheatre.org or call 847-735-8554.   Please arrive early as the trek will start promptly at 4:30pm.   In case of inclement weather, the performance will be held down the road at Citadel Theatre, West Campus, 300 S.
