Part of the John Waters film fest, this remake of the 1988 cult classicHairspray is about a pleasantly plump girl teenager who teaches 1962 Baltimore a thing or two about integration after landing a spot on a local TV dance show. It will be introduced by a student in the communication course John Waters and American Culture.
The festival culminates in a talk by John Waters himself, on Thursday, March 24 at 7:30 pm in the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel.
