John Waters Film Fest: “Polyester” (1981)

Starring Divine, Tab Hunter, and Edith Massey
A suburban housewife's world falls apart when her pornographer husband admits he's serially unfaithful to her, her daughter gets pregnant, and her son is suspected of being the foot-fetishist who's been breaking local women's feet. The original theatrical release included "Odorama"—scratch 'n' sniff cards for the audience. Introduction by Liz Benacka, a lecturer at the College who is teaching the course John Waters and American Culture.

The festival culminates in a talk by John Waters himself, on Thursday, March 24 at 7:30 pm in the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel.
