American Masters at 100: Works by Owen Clay, John Cage and David Skidmore
“…sonically spectacular…” — John Von Rhein, Chicago Tribune
Third Coast Percussion presents a concert highlighting two centennial celebrations: the iconic percussion music of John Cage (1912-1992) and a new piece by TCP-member David Skidmore commissioned by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Taliesin, a masterpiece of American architecture. The concert opens with an exciting new work by ensemble member Owen Clay Condon, a sonic celebration of fractals.
