Hobnob with herps from all over the world at the Wildlife Discovery Center’s thirteenth annual Reptile Rampage. This gigantic education-only reptile show will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the City of Lake Forest’s Recreation Center, 400 Hastings Road.
Reptile Rampage is a great opportunity for the whole family to spend the day getting up close and personal to some amazing and unique reptiles. For just $5, visitors can meet over 150 animals including “Bubba” the famous American Alligator, the Wildlife Discovery Center's celebrated rattlesnake collection, lizards, snakes of all shapes and sizes, turtles, crocodilians, tortoises, frogs and much more. Visitors will also have the chance to talk with some of the Midwest’s most knowledgeable reptile enthusiasts from local zoos, universities, museums, nature centers, and private collections.
In addition to the many reptiles on display, there will be children’s Play-Doh stations, hand-painted tattoo artistry and face painting for the kids, a Scout Patch challenge ($5 extra for the patch), a fabulous silent auction, refreshments, and much more.
